QH Retreat - A Pumpkin Patchwork

SURPRISE! We’re adding ONE MORE QH Retreat for 2026!

When we announced our very first QH Retreat, A Merry Makeaway, we were absolutely blown away by the response. You filled every seat so quickly—and it became pretty clear that you all were just as excited about retreat weekends as we were!

So… we decided we couldn’t wait until 2027 to do it again.

And this one is extra special because we’ll be celebrating my mom’s birthday the best way we know how: surrounded by fabric, sewing machines, good food, and a room full of quilters!

Introducing…

QH RETREAT — A Pumpkin Patchwork
October 9, 10 & 11, 2026

We’re heading back to the Cherokee Cultural Community Center for one more weekend before QH Retreats move to a new venue in 2027!

Just like A Merry Makeaway, this will be a daytime sewing retreat—all the fun of getting away for a quilting weekend without giving up your own comfy bed. Come spend your days sewing, laughing, eating, learning, and making new friends, then head home each evening to sleep.

And we’re keeping all the things that make a QH Retreat feel like a full retreat experience!

- Your own 8-foot sewing table with plenty of room to spread out
- A folding chair provided—or bring your favorite sewing chair from home
- A retreat swag bag + t-shirt for every attendee
- Demos, games, prizes, surprises, and plenty of fun throughout the weekend
- A community snack table—bring a sharable snack if you’d like to contribute!

And YES—the food is included!

Friday: Chick-fil-A for lunch + Luigi’s for dinner
Saturday: McAlister’s for lunch + Mexican food for dinner
Sunday: Potato & salad bar for lunch

Meals include a side and drink, and we’ll work with you to accommodate dietary restrictions.

Bring the project you’ve been meaning to finish, start something brand new, work on Christmas gifts before December sneaks up on you, or simply give yourself three days to sit down and SEW.

Come with your quilting friends or come ready to make some new ones. A Pumpkin Patchwork is three fall days set aside for making things, making progress, celebrating together, and making memories.
