Patriotic Pillowcase Sew Day
We will be using our Community sew days to make Patriotic Pillowcases to place our Patriotic Quilts in before donating. ALL OF THE KITS HAVE BEEN CUT. Join us to sew the pillowcases together. All cutting has already been done.

QH Retreat - A Merry Makeaway
Quilter’s Hideaway is SO excited to announce QH Retreats, beginning December 2026! We’re kicking things off with A Merry Makeaway, December 4–6 at the Cherokee Cultural Community Center. Our retreats are all about the fun of a quilting getaway—without having to give up your comfy bed! These will be daytime sewing retreats, giving you plenty of uninterrupted time to sew, laugh, eat, learn, and spend time with other quilters before heading home to sleep each night. And when we say retreat, we mean the full experience! Every quilter will have their own 8-foot table with plenty of room to spread out. One folding chair will be provided at each space, or you’re welcome to bring your favorite sewing chair from home. Every attendee will also receive a retreat swag bag with a t-shirt, and we’ll have demos, games, prizes, surprises, and plenty of fun throughout the weekend. We do recommend you bring a sharable snack for the snack table. Your retreat registration includes lunches AND dinners: Friday lunch will be a Chick-fil-A sandwich or wrap, followed by Luigi’s for dinner. Saturday lunch will be sandwiches from McAlister’s, with Mexican food for dinner. Sunday lunch will wrap up our weekend with a potato and salad bar. Meals will include a side and drink. If you have dietary restrictions, we will work with you to accommodate them. Bring those Christmas gifts you need to finish, work on the projects you’ve been hiding from peeking eyes, tackle something completely different, or simply give yourself a weekend to get away and sew. Come with your quilting friends—or come ready to meet some new ones. ?? A Merry Makeaway is about making things, making progress, and making memories. WAITLIST: QH RETREAT - A Merry Makeaway
We are THRILLED that our Merry Makeaway Retreat sold out in 24 hours; however we never could have dreamed of that response. We are already planning our next retreat, and we are trying to gauge the interest so we know what size venue to try for. Also know that things happen and if we are able to add spaces we will work through this waitlist first.
