Beginner quilting class - Learn sewing basics and make a table runner.
This is part one of a four part series. The first three weeks we will learn to make common quilting blocks. The last week we will learn to square blocks up and sew them together using sashing. We will also review different ways to "finish" a quilt. Everyone will finish with a table runner project.

Christmas Mystery Quilt
It's time to bring these out of "retirement". We haven't hosted a mystery quilt in awhile, but we will meet in the mornings to release the pattern each week. This does not have a sewing time assigned and is really a grab-and-go style event. We will show off the prior weeks blocks and collect the next. This will be a whimsy Christmas themed quilt. There will be a wall hanging version or borders can be added to make it a throw quilt. This has a one time participation fee and each week we will go through tips and tricks on how to sew the next block/s.

This is a free sew day we host every month. It's a great opportunity to pull out your Lori Holt fabrics or patterns and work on them with friends. This group also brings a dish for a potluck lunch. Plan to spend the day or come for a couple hours.

QH Retreat - A Merry Makeaway
Quilter’s Hideaway is SO excited to announce QH Retreats, beginning December 2026! We’re kicking things off with A Merry Makeaway, December 4–6 at the Cherokee Cultural Community Center. Our retreats are all about the fun of a quilting getaway—without having to give up your comfy bed! These will be daytime sewing retreats, giving you plenty of uninterrupted time to sew, laugh, eat, learn, and spend time with other quilters before heading home to sleep each night. And when we say retreat, we mean the full experience! Every quilter will have their own 6-foot table with plenty of room to spread out. One folding chair will be provided at each space, or you’re welcome to bring your favorite sewing chair from home. Every attendee will also receive a retreat swag bag with a t-shirt, and we’ll have demos, games, prizes, surprises, and plenty of fun throughout the weekend. We do recommend you bring a sharable snack for the snack table. Your retreat registration includes lunches AND dinners: Friday lunch will be a Chick-fil-A sandwich or wrap, followed by Luigi’s for dinner. Saturday lunch will be sandwiches from McAlister’s, with Mexican food for dinner. Sunday lunch will wrap up our weekend with a potato and salad bar. Meals will include a side and drink. If you have dietary restrictions, we will work with you to accommodate them. Bring those Christmas gifts you need to finish, work on the projects you’ve been hiding from peeking eyes, tackle something completely different, or simply give yourself a weekend to get away and sew.
