Who are we?
In short, Quilter’s Hideaway is a mother-daughter owned quilt shop nestled in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
Quilter’s Hideaway is a dream come true for us and we hope every time you walk through our doors you feel at home, in a space where you can create quilts, and surrounded by a community that supports one another. We want to help you finish your Work-In-Progress (WIP) quilts and propel you to try different quilts and learn new techniques. We offer fabric, quilt classes, Longarm quilting, notions, patterns, sew nights, and more.
Our hope is that Quilter’s Hideaway will be a hideaway, a haven, a retreat for new and experienced quilters alike.
Want to know a little more about the faces behind QH?
Cindy Smith and Carrie Randall, mom and me, make up the mother-daughter team with the vision for QH. Both of us have been quilting most of our life and learned the hobby from different family members and close friends.
You will find many details in the shop that are carried down from different generations. The machine Cindy learned to sew on sits in front of a hand pieced quilt by Cindy’s grandmother (Carrie’s great-grandmother). Much of the furniture in our shop was also passed down from family. We have tried keeping QH warm and welcoming, but also clean and bright.
If you search, you can find Cindy’s first quilt as well as Carrie’s first quilt hanging around the shop.
We hope that you will come by and see us here at Quilter’s Hideaway. Also, feel free to check out the Quilting with Care Blog for more information about who we are and different sneak peeks or hidden treasures about QH.
